There is risk when you get in your car . Does anyone mention the risk? They would not sell any cars if all they talked about is

As a matter of fact, the government does track and publish the honest statistics on car accidents and deaths. They also issue public service campaigns warning their citizens of the very real dangers of car accidents. They hire road police to reduce the risk from the most at risk drivers. They mandate car manufacturers to install safety equipment such as airbags and seat belts. They force manufacturers to recall vehicles for safety defects. They force manufacturers to test their vehicles for safety. They allow consumers to sue the manufacturers for unsafe or unreliable products.

Your analogy might be more accurate if everyday you drive by broke down cars and yet another accident scene with ambulances and police and body bags, then memorials on the side of the road. Meanwhile, the car manufacturers and government insist cars are 100% safe and effective. So you satisfy yourself that the accident scenes you saw with your own eyes were not caused by any mechanical defects in the vehicles or unsafe roads, and that the victims died of natural causes.

I've worked in the safety industry. Everyone acknowledges that the most dangerous part of even the most dangerous occupation is the drive to and from the workplace. No one pretends otherwise.

Lots of examples of corruption and collusion between automobile manufacturers and governments.

GM bribing officials to replace the existing efficient, clean quiet environmentally friendly paid for trolley bus system with their fossil fuel buses comes to mind.

Now we have gone full circle and is the electric bus manufacturers bribing politicians.

You could have invented the wildest conspiracy theory that Hyundai cars were going to make us all sterile, put microchips in our bodies, cause everyone to have heart attacks etc. And not be kicked off of Twitter or Facebook.
