Enjoy your break from the silly.

Personally I'm going to enjoy the next 4 years of Trump as Mr agrisilly goes further off the deep end.
And I will do everything I can to help facilitate the process.

Seeing more Australian beef offered at much lower prices,
I think that says $23 Kg compared to maybe $ 40+ kg
Whole striploins at Costco for $32.50 kg.
How does this look compared to what you see in Oz?
Have to think they are making bull margin?
Or are they just using it as a tool to pressure Canadian packers?
Seems unlikely as they probably buy it from JBS or Cargill?
Packers could be looking to bring product from their plants in oz if the lines there run more profitably?
Will obviously increase the supply to reduce the demand for live cattle to be able to supply the market.

How are your farm beef prices Mallie?
Ours are at never imagined peaks due to low supply.
Feedlots have the power on price over the packer now and are bidding up feeder cattle.
            Unusual situation.

I started buying cows just shortly before you then. Didn't get very many good years before BSE hit.

You guys that stuck with cows have earned every penny of what you're getting now.

That left a mark that will affect my financial risk tolerance forever.
