Even with the drop in immigration there is still a shortage of affordable housing Absurd 5!

Who is going to build affordable housing if the government doesn't subsidize the private sector to do so?

How would you suggest solving the affordable housing problem differently?

I can't wait to hear your better plan than Carney's!

The government gatekeepers could get out of the way.
Government could get out of the way with their net zero and other industry killing policies then if we had a strong economy creating good paying jobs to match our recent population growth, more people could afford to build their own homes.

Sure the trickle down theory! LOL It won't help and will take too long.

How come Danny Smith is praising Carney's action plans? But you are complaining?

And the green economy also has a lot of jobs. But it threatens the oil industries dominance.

Mining, manufacturing and investing in high speed rail and other infrastructure are on Carney's list.

You're probably right chuck. Who needs a strong economy, and actual productive jobs creating actual GDP. We can all just work for the government, it can nationalize all the industries, own all the housing.

After all, communism has worked so well everywhere else it has been tried, why not try it here too.

Who said anything about nationalizing anything Absurd 5? LOL

Smith supports Carney's efforts so you must be wrong!

Carney's plans for housing are supporting the private sector builders to get the job done!

yes because liberals have impoverished Canadians so much they cant afford to pay for a roof over their head themselves

I thought there houses were to be built by one big plant type operators .

                Socialist dream.
                Just like the USSR.

Then set them up in nice little communal settings.
                Everyone will be happy

So why is it that for the entire history of this country until now, the private sector didn't require government support to build houses?

What went so horribly wrong that now the only way the private sector can do anything is if the government holds their hand?

Do you think there might be more than one way for housing and the cost of living to become affordable?

There's your way where the government intervenes and subsidizes over text and under employed consumers. And creates a housing bubble and inflation with irresponsible fiscal policies

Do you think you it might work to have more affluent consumers by having a strong healthy economy?

And allow builders to build affordable homes without all of the climate, sustainability etc nonsense?
