Does anybody feel that if Canada responded differently, or even capitulated on all demands, the situation would be very different?

I’m with farmaholic on this one, doesn’t matter what we do or how we respond when the other side makes teeter totters look like stable balance beams.

Au contraire, mon amie. I think Trump is a push-over. He hates actors who won’t play ball but even a bit of mutual respect would probably yield dividends. If we were friendly toward the US, we would be on the inside looking out at the rest of the world but heaven forbid because socialism reigns supreme in Canada and their hate for anything successful is their mantra. Even Saskatchewan, do you remember how long the NDP , and particularly the socialists of Red Square pranced in glory in this province, it’s not buried deep enough.

Actually I am warming up to the idea of putting Trump on the payroll. Just have Ottawa send him a few million a month.
