NATO wants military spending to reach 5% of GDP. I am curious Chuck2 how many fighter jets, war ships and tanks run on batteries? Certainly submarines are nuclear powered but everything else runs on fossil fuels. And over 80% of the worlds energy produced and consumed everyday comes from fossil fuels. Certainly looks like oil is on the way out!

Something we agree on, the US spends more on debt than the military certainly possible. Actually at present I am sure Canada does a well with $50 billion in interest payments. Something that will apparently balloon under Carney.

As for drones, certainly short range drones used in the Ukraine are electric with a range up to 50 kms. Longer range are powered by fossil fuels, so Chuck2, you keep up!
