How many months worth of storage have you installed now that it is "well available"?

Since you suggested using EV batteries to store solar energy from when the sun is shining, have you figured out how many cyber trucks you would need to store enough Sunshine to meet your needs from June until December?

There is reported to be a big opportunity in California now for stand alone battery storage.
Appears that surplus power from mid day solar can be purchased on the wholesale market for 1 cent/ kw due to oversupply with nowhere for it to go.
Then you can resell that power at peak demand times when solar is off line for 40 cent/Kw.
Not sure if battery pricing can make that viable but they continue to build more subsidized solar, both roof top and bigger and bigger commercial.
Government involvement always makes things work efficiently and logically.Last edited by shtferbrains; Jul 3, 2025, 15:55.

The current massive renewable energy investments worldwide that are larger than fossil fuel investments according to the IEA, speak for themselves.
But of course the naysayers will make all kinds of lame excuses and arguments as to why renewables can't be integrated into our grids and economy. Even though there are numerous successful examples here and around the world.
Its not one or the other. Its all of the above generation sources including lots more lower cost renewables.
Its a long transition that will take place over time.

Yet consumers are paying more than ever in history for this subsidized free energy
No wonder they are investing so much

Have you heard of inflation Furrow?
The costs for everything related to electricity are going up and generation is only one part of the cost of delivering electricity.
Solar and wind have some the lowest life time costs of electricity. LCOE
Storage is available and renewables are still growing and improving.
How can Texas and North Dakota have so many renewables if they don't make sense?
Crickets or excuses on that question every time!
