Power lines get knocked down by wind and storms all the time and the power goes out.
Sometimes gas and coal plants go down unexpectedly as well and require maintenance.

Then it will be farmers shut off all grain dryers and aeration fans cuz some city twit needs to charge his ev car to go to work.

Canola collects solar energy for about about 70-80 days per year.
Solar panels can operate 365 days per year when the sun is shining. And storage in EV batteries and grid batteries are already well available.
And EV s are 80% efficient at converting energy to movement. Unlike ICE vehicles which 20-40% efficient. With a lot of the energy being lost as heat.
