    Seeding wrap up

Always amazes me, no matter the farm size here , most seeding gets done within the same few days no matter when things start . This year a bit earlier. Some years it’s after the 25th.

From the 20,000 ac guys to the 2000 ac guys , 80% of the time seeding finishes up in the same few days .
Always a few outliers on either side but in general it’s like clockwork.
Has not been fun this past week with cold dry relentless wind .
Some showers today , hopefully get something worthwhile over the next few days .

    Finished yesterday.
Last time on the 18th was in '16.
    Started May 5 I think.
    I'll take it.
Need an inch before month end hopefully.
Hands getting cold fixing stuff outside today. 9 months of a hoodie under covvies. Gets old.

We finished last night too. After an inch of rain last week on ultra-dry dust, the Canola was just scratched in the last day of seeding. We’ll see how that turns out. All wheels around us are stopped due to the current bouts of drizzle trying to turn to snow. Ah, global warming makes us so thankful for the greenhouse climate. Hmmm.

Finished with the bigger guys too...

Just means equipment/manpower is proportional to acres...we all have it figured.

And we are rained out, again, same story since the 11th. Just get started and get rained out again. Probably just as well, its so cold that what is seeded is hardly even growing, and it keeps freezing at night.

Chuck, if you were to respond to this off topic thread about actual farming, you could revel in the glory of having an entire page of posts all to yourself.
How is seeding going on the chuckChuck farm? How are the knees in your pants holding out, that was always the biggest breakdown we had when carpet farming, equipment being stepped on was a close second.

You mean Absurd 5 never answered all those questions!

A5 the guy who obsesses about the "childs table" and keeps sitting at again and again like a real unaware dumbass!

A5, more than a couple of bricks short a load!
