Each to their own as far as this goes.
but no elite multi billionaires should decide what the rest of humanity should or not should eat while they dine on everything they want to refuse the peasants .
    Thats the issue
this lead to revolutions in many parts of the world over history

Beans and lentils from western Canada are not highly processed are they?

Of course many consumers are loading up on highly processed unhealthy and un-nutritious food and sugary drinks. Thanks to promotion, marketing and a lack of education about healthy diets.

There are lots of studies showing eating too much red meat and saturated fats drives up your risk of cardio vascular disease and cancers. Obesity is a leading cause.

And if you look at a lot of farmers who sit on their butts most of the day they also are at a high risk from diseases of diet and lifestyle.

In the good ole days most farmers were more physically active and fit.

When did you last enjoy a big plate full of unprocessed lentils for supper?

By the time those Western Canadian beans and lentils are converted into a beyond meat product would you Western consumer would actually consider eating, they are very highly processed with countless added chemicals to make them edible.

We eat lentils and beans often. They are great in soups, bean salads and can be added to chili con carne and burritos to name just a few ways to use them.

The pules growers have lots of recipes

I had a beyond meat burger once and it was okay but too salty. But you don't need to eat them if you know how to cook! I still prefer a beef burger.

Try looking up some recipes on the internet!
