Nothing new. Was buying something off Kijiji a few years ago met the person in their shop, he mentioned that the shop had been converted from a cricket barn many years before. Apparently it wasn't a profitable business back then either.
I believe the market was pet food for the lizards etc.

I would love a cricket plant nearby...
There is a bakery in edmonton that had a small cricket barn somewhere off site.. they put some cricket flour in the baking.. i bought some and couldnt tell the diff. Alot of cultures eat bugs so i wont judge if anyone does. Anyone ver been to street markets in southeast asia? Its shocking..

The coolest part about a crickeg farm is FRASS and its use in plant growth. It can be applied to the crop and essentially the crop thinks its getting attacked by bugs.. triggers a response that toughens up the plants!
quite an amazing thing.

In other news. The giant hemp processing factory by bruderheim died... so that sucks.
