Those extreme measures have increased the debt and caused economic uncertainty. Doge has cost more than it has saved. The proposed budget will increase the deficit by giving more to the wealthy.

"Why does Trump not "let the chips fall where they may" when he adds more taxes to the USA middle class"

Agree Carnage wants to help workers /companies...WRONG!

Same as Covid, zero free $/support should have been done....chips fall as they should, we all adapt.

Trump also spent billions on covid relief including to farmers.

But flipper thinks we should have let laid off Canadians go without food and homes because they had no income during lockdowns?

And then many farmers also applied for covid relief in CEBA! How to apply for CEBA was discussed on Agrisilly.

The silly sewage just keeps flowing!

Not really possible to compare what the USA can afford to send their farmers.
Our money is all spent on Liberal's freinds.

I wonder (sarcastically) what product is being produced in DC that results in such a high GDP per capita.

Do you think Ottawa would be higher or lower in GDP per capita than DC? Which is more corrupt?

But you support tRump driving the economy into a recession with a tarrif war?

The US may have a higher GDP per person but it is not distributed as fairly compared to Canada.

                Factors Contributing to Differences:

The gap in GDP per adult between Canada and the US is largely driven by differences in the top 10% of the income distribution, with larger gaps for business owners and the university-educated. Brain drain, where high-ability workers migrate to the US, may also contribute to this gap.
                • Social Mobility:
Research indicates that Canada generally has stronger social mobility than the US, meaning that individuals are more likely to move up the income ladder in Canada.
?It is commonly noted that Americans are on average richer than Canadians. For example, in 2016, GDP per capita was US $47,294 in Canada (PPP-adjusted) compared to US $57,798 in the United States. However, this comparison of average incomes does not necessarily imply that all or even most Canadians are worse off than Americans. This report shows that Canadian households in the bottom 56 per cent of the income distribution are in fact better off than American households at the same point of the income distribution. This finding is driven by the lower income inequality in Canada, and illustrates how the usual comparison of incomes between Canada and the United States using GDP per capita or average household income hides a critical part of the story.?

Only thing I said about tariffs was that Carney announced he was going to tariff everything that came into Canada from country"s that didn't have as much commitment to reducing carbon emmions as he does.

That means about everyone except maybe his buddies from Europe.
He wants us to be a European country?

You used 2016 numbers to compare our GDP with the USA?

When did Trudeau start to destroy our economy with his economic policies that he got from the WEF playbook?
Was that about when he put Freeland in?

Carney wrote most of the WEF playbook.
He's here to make sure we stay on track when the rest of the world can see that's a disaster.
