Doesn't JD equipment pay for itself?

They need to figure out what they can bend us over the parts counter for and what they can't. Your example just makes them look stupid and you smart! Send the parts manager a copy of the invoice and watch him hem and haw how they need to justify it.

You have to pay for the gold based paint and the advertising. Hay and oats are expensive. You have to keep the deere fed.

Not just John Deere. I bought a crankcase breather filter for an iveco. About $150 + with gaskets.

Bought online from Europe for $18. Shipping wasn't free so I bought 3 for $100 with shipping.

Got 4 filters for $400 yesterday although pricey was still cheaper than buying anything parked in the showroom. Most parts guys will just smile and nod head when you price compare don't think they get invited to the board meetings.

Got a brake caliper seal kit for my agco 8360 4wd tractor from Massey in Medicine Hat yesterday, 210 bucks !!! I blame Agco for that , not my dealership. Doesn't matter whether it's newer or older , there is still 400% markup on everything I think.

What I enjoy is CNH changing certain filter numbers occasionally to throw off cross referencing.
Add in the Rocky tax and look at the cost of this damn iron and you realize most people are just paying up.
Haven't found a filter seller yet that has ordered in any of the cnh crosses I've given them.
