Snowbirds selling now won't resent the handsome appreciation in their properties or exchanging those greenbacks.
Sorry, but when this blows over nothing fundamental will change.

It's definitely a good time to sell and many won't be going back.

In 4 years many of them can't afford medical insurance! And need low cost medical care they get in Canada.

We are in California where my son worked.
We have been coming here for 25+ yrs for the reason BP explained.
Tried Vancouver as we have relatives there but too much rain and near zero sun.
I haven't seen any sign of Trump and don't expect to.
Generally people here are exceptionally friendly.
They love to talk with other friendly people.
No tourists here to sour them.

Weather is just the way I like it.
Like spring in Saskatchewan with no bugs and lots of sun

The political leaders want you to be afraid even if there is little to be afraid of

        Don't be afraid.
        Enjoy life.
        It's all good.

        Edit
I'll believe the fingerprint thing when I see it.
Way to busy at Airport security for that.
        They don't have time.

My son married a lady from here.
They are the most perfectly matched couple I know.

I practice being diplomatic with her.

Snowbirds sell out all the time.
Lots of my friends are doing it now.
They get to old and can't do it anymore.
Don't miss your chance because you afraid.

Family is an acceptable reason to spend time in the US. Otherwise not so much.

At the current exchange rates I can find a lot of reasons to stay the hell out of the US!

FOR THE RECORD. Many countries, including canada, have a buyable visa. I think canadas is the f-5 or f - 1 b visa. Either way.. its a pay for citizenship. Roughly 1.2 million investment gets you in.
Many many countries have the same thing. Germany.. england.. etc etc.
nothing wrong with it and frankly its a nice idea ( although probably not properly vetted)
5 mill entry into the usa? Pfft
let the rich pay to play. They do anyways.
