UFA set up bulk fuel in Melfort.
Franchise operation by the look of it.

UFA is building cardlocks and bulk stations across Saskatchewan.

Rarely do I see prices cheap enough to want to buy any hardwareor anything else from them. I think they have a decent amount of livestock supplies though.

This thread was news to me, had to Google it.. all the stories are saying just 24 stores closing, all located in Ontario and East? Is there more recent news that the entire enterprise is closing?

Peavey Mart is pretty handy here and busy. Princess Auto I never go to. There is a Coop Home and Agro that is pretty good. UFA in Grande Prairie but I have never been to the store.

Amazon has killed a lot of these businesses but these businesses especially Canadian owned ones have been a dumpster fire for years. They took for granted we were a captive market and we would give them the benefit of the doubt for poor service, poor selection, wonky supply chains, and not ordering what customers wanted. Peavy Mart for example you definitely didn’t dare order anything through the store cause you never knew if it would ever show up, pre covid. Once better organized American retailers showed up and Amazon to boot the gig was up. At least my local coop for all the troubles it has can be depended upon to order in things they don’t have.

There is a story on retail insider.com that all of Peavey Mart's stores are closing.

It is a shame. It really went down hill the last few years though.

Local coop couldn't find their ass with both hands.

Maybe different with a management change. But the way it is run now is dismal.
