    What are the other components?

Who wants all that work, depreciation, and maintenance.
We left all that behind when we got rural electrification.

Invest the $70K in a renewables company like Enbridge.
They know how to take advantage of all the government freebies.
      Pay 6% plus dividend.
Stock currently is up 29% Y/Y.

Home based solar only works at all because of virtue signaling government programs.
You have to be on the grid for back up and programs change with the times.

What are the other components that need to be charged for?
plus u cant factor in interest. Not an applicable cost if people pay cash.

You still have to include the time value (interest) of the money which could have been invested elsewhere.

              Where's Tweety?

So you finally grasped the schooling Tweety gave you Ab5 to the point of posting it as advice to others.

You've proven there's a learning curve even for you.

My comment related to the charges on your bill for distribution on top of the kw/hr charge, which is more than the power itself.

Not a cost if using cash?
On which planet does the time value of money not apply?
You sound like an older farmer.

Forage, are you still upset that I invested in my own grain in a virtually zero interest rate environment to get a 100% return on investment?
I've asked you this before and you haven't answered. You like to brag about your investing prowess. What did you invest in during that. Of time that had a better return than 100% which earned you the right to criticize?

                      The time value of money?

If u pay without any debt.. then the money is gone. Thats building equity as well .
One cant say that the " 70 ish" thousand could be invested in something else and return " x" amount. Just like you cant predict what the cost of electricity will be halfway through the lifespan of the solar panels.

And i would assume they get insured?
                      chuck?
