    Remembrance Day

Left, Right, or Center this is the kind of " S HIT" that should drive every patriotic Canadian nuts.

"Nova Scotia principal 'deeply sorry' for requesting no uniforms on Remembrance Day"

Thank goodness Permier Houston straightened this B.S. out in a hurry.

Thank you to all the brave past and present Canadians serving in the Canadian Arm Forces who have made Canada the greatest country in the world to live, work, and raise a family in.

I lost 5 ancestors in ww1. My great great grandmother wore nothing but black for the rest of her life. That side is a military family with subsequent generations who served. Remembrance Day is nothing to be screwed with. If these folks can’t have uniforms or prayers be read they are enemies of the state. I am by no means religious but put yourself in a trench and you’d be praying.

My family fought as partizans or later in the russian army. When the russians arrived anyone fit got a uniform and a rifle and told come with us. There was no training.Uncle lost in budapest buried in a mass grave cousin crossing the oder river. It is said the life of a russian infantryman was 6 weeks, exactly what they lasted. The partizan life was pure horror. Half of my fathers village died.Hence my avatar.

Poignant and sad. What was it, 80% of children born in Eastern Europe between 1900 and 1940 didn’t live past 1945 or something?

That made me chuckle. Something along same lines when Paraguay tried taking on Brazil and lost so many of its men they had to make polygamy legal.
