This administration will go down as the most corruption we have ever seen in Ottawa. That is if we ever get to look back after Bill C 293 which makes everything much worse.
How many farms got CEBA grants and loans who didn't need it during the covid lockdowns?
There was a long discussion on Agrisilly on how to apply and qualify.
The usual suspects on Agrisilly complain about the deficits on one hand, but then complain about the program spending that supported them and their families during covid?
We didnt NEED it
but absolutely took it. Everyone did. It was an incredibly uncertain time and we used it like everyone else. Paid bills. Sure didnt go on a vacay that winter or for 2 yrs....
spent it in our local economy on parts/ grocery/ take out. No shame in that.
So mark me down as one of the farms that " took advantage of the system". Sure did!!!!
I write off alot of stuff too....
"its what these big companies do, Jerry, they just write it off!"
And for those businesses and farms that needed it, no problem it was there for a reason.
But for those who took it, who didn't need it and then complained about the deficit spending that most develop countries incurred with similar covid programs is rich!
We took out the CEBA loan and used it to pay bills also. We followed all of the rules to the letter on paying back our portion. as far as the part we got to keep , well thats my bill for Ontario for voting for Trudeau. Covid scare or otherwise. They need to pay for about 95% of the federal deficit we have accumulated for voting that fool in for three terms also.
