Nato has been supporting Ukraine since day one with weapons and sanctions.

Gawd! NATO and the sophisticated arms the west has developed and produces is because of Russia. Not really for any other reason than that. They’ve been an existential threat to neighbours for 300 years and a pain in the ass for the west for 80 years. Anyone who believes any of the “poor bullied Russia” bs has been sold down the river. The fall of the ussr and decline of the Russian state into ruin for a time was a minor inconvenience in their long path of empire building.

Putin does not want nuclear war or even war with NATO. He has a fortified castle , that he stands to lose. More of an aristocrat or czar than a president.

I agree Russia has gotten nowhere, conventional weapons, but actually fighting nato and eu, us and USA. Pretty dam good on their part, but why chance earth ending WW3?
