You just finished lecturing me that climate is measured over 30 years.Originally posted by chuckChuck View PostGood job A5 you are starting to understand climate vs weather! 30 years equals climate.
And that still doesn't change the remarkable last 5 years on the prairies that have been getting drier which contradicts your arm chair opinion that we are getting wetter.
Then you contradict yourself by claiming once again that five dry years in the near desert palliser triangle is evidence of climate change.
Have you ever considered that perhaps debating wasn't the best career choice for someone with your lack of skill set?Last edited by AlbertaFarmer5; May 12, 2024, 07:24.

I never said that 5 years is the measure of climate. Did I?
But it doesn't matter how long or how short of time span you look at, you deny that CO2 and other greenhouse gases cause climate change.
And in fact you say more CO2 is going to be good for us?
So which scientific organization is recommending we increase CO2 emissions to make the world a better place?
We are waiting A5! If you so sure you are right there must be some science to back you up? Right?

I will be honest, I glanced at the original post and I haven’t read any responses. Time is short this time of year. My only thought is that if you are a true believer you must have always expected the average temperature increase to surpass 1.5 degrees over pre industrial levels(1850, as earth exited the little ice age). Let’s be realistic, countries like China and India(most populous countries on earth) are not cutting back emissions, in fact their emissions are increasing as they increase coal consumption year over year. Daily consumption worldwide of oil is in the 100 million barrels a day range. Governments spending and taxing their populous into lower standards of living won’t change this trajectory. Plan for the future, spend and research on adaptation!!Originally posted by chuckChuck View PostI never said that 5 years is the measure of climate. Did I?

The cost of doing nothing will be much higher that will be paid for by future generations. Out of control climate change is not an option. And that's where we are headed unless we reduce carbon emissions. Its a long transition.

Wait until chuck finds out how much more oil the world will use once AI and automation take hold.Originally posted by Hamloc View Post
