For a farmer with 40 quarters, you sure spend an inordinate time bashing farm subsidies unless your quarters are silver... interesting use of words - "our" parks as in Canadians and you're involved, yet subsides and and incentives is "you" but not "our" and you're not involved. 6400 acres is not a small farm - do you give the subsidies and incentives back, to clear your conscience?

        40 quarters=40 squares of linoleum

Weber I never said ag subsidies and safety nets are all bad policy did I?

But the pretend libertarians who complain about subsidies to everyone else, never seem to recognize and admit that they also get significant taxpayer subsidies.

Target the subsidies to small and medium sized farms and certain sectors who need it.

Why does Monette farms need a subsidy? They will be getting millions in taxpayers support that drives up the price of land for smaller farms who can't afford it.

I’d think you’re a big farmer with 40quarters compared to me. You deserve nothing in my view. The guy or gal with 5 quarters probably thinks I deserve nothing either. Where do you draw the line?

Cap the subsidy and safety net programs at a reasonable level to keep small and medium sized farms in business so that they don't struggle and disappear.

Let the bigger farms make it on their own without taxpayers support.

There is no need to subsidize the big investor mega farms that are gobbling up all the land and pushing smaller farms out.

Why does the oil industry need subsidies and incentives to push their agenda?

I don't know what is a cutoff line because we are talking about a very diverse sector in many different provinces.

Design a policy that sustains and supports as many small to medium sized family farms as possible and keeps rural communities viable.
