So says A5 the the guys who says we are going to run out of CO2 if we don't keep burning fossil fuels and that asphalt is the only reason temperatures are going up! Including in the arctic and in the oceans!

I'll stick to trusting climate scientists evidence and conclusions over pretend libertarian climate change denier farmers any day!

"The Canadian Prairies is a hotspot for climate change
not just within Canada, but across the world. The
region is projected to warm much faster than the
global average—a product of the region’s northern
latitude and continental geography—and the risk to
ecosystems, communities, and economies will be
substantial. The region and its people are already
seeing and experiencing the effects of climate change,
and many aspects of life in the Prairies will continue to
be impacted in the following ways:
➜ An altered water cycle will increase the risk of
    both flood and drought.
➜ Forest fires will become larger and occur more
    frequently.
➜ Agriculture will be challenged by heat stress and
    more frequent drought.
➜ Wildlife will be impacted as the changing climate
threatens habitats and as invasive species and
    pests migrate further north.
➜ Human health will suffer from longer and more
    frequent heat waves.
➜ Traditional ways of life will be interrupted or made
impossible as the warming impacts local wildlife
    populations and transportation routes.

So how many of those dire predictions make sense to you Chuck?

Who is your favorite Climate Scientist.?
The one you follow the closest?

They all have somewhat different definitions of climate change with very few making that type of predictions.

Who is your " go to guy"?

Did you not notice all the forest fire smoke and record area burned in 2023 Shite for brains? I guess not!

Mr Trudeau does not seem as concerned as you?

            So what?

Is it a temporary loan for their fire season and we get them back for ours? Or is it permanent?

And how does this change the record setting area and severity of our 2023 fire season?

hopefully we dont have as many idiots starting fires this year

A guy I see often worked that huge fire near Fort Smith on the northern Alberta border.
                It burnt all summer.
He said it took 45 minutes to fly across the burt area with his helicoper.
What surprised him the most was that they weren't trying to put it out.
It was considered non merchantable timber of little value and it all has to burn sometime to renew and improve the forrest.
They were just there to try direct the fire away from populated areas.
That was the same situation whit the fire near Yellowknife.
They let it get away and it got too close to the city.

Firefighting strategies have change considerably over the years.

If you look up on the mountains North of Banff you can see where they are experimenting with controled burns to renew some of that old growth.
Leaving it to die is a fire risk to the town.

Many communities and property were damaged and threatened all across Canada not to mention all the smoke that causes health problems. So don't downplay the impacts and costs. Or like some of the deniers claim it was only arson and not a hot dry spring and summer!

If I were an indigenous person, I would take serious offense at this statement.
Their ancestors migrated here at the end of an ice age. Survived through the following wild temperature swings, including a 10 degree drop into the younger dryas, and subsequent 10 degree recovery. They survived the little ice age and the medieval warm period.
They hunted many of their larger mammals to Extinction and still survived.
Inuit have survived in the Arctic in conditions that white people can't even imagine.
They survived the decades long droughts in the 13th and 16th centuries. Droughts which dwarf anything we have known in the recorded history.

Now some presumptuous white person in academia has the audacity claim their way of life will be impossible if plant fertilizer increases slightly.

Another repetition of the dumb ass idea from the pretend libertarian of Alberta? More CO2 is good for us!

Just like more drought and heat will be good for crops in July?

I am sure the extra CO2 will make up for the moisture shortage in southern Alberta!

And as if you ever cared about first nation, culture, history or achievements!

                      Just more pretending?

Yet again, Chuck, your mind reading abilities are a dismal failure.

I'm curious, do you use these hopeless tactics when having discussions with your wife? And how does it typically turn out when you tell her what she thinks because you have read her mind?

Did you notice all the chuckroach types that are charged with arson? It’s the far left sparking up the forest fires, how many pyromaniacs are running around with a Bic? That would be a Bic lighter.

"It’s the far left sparking up the forest fires," Huh?

So the increase in fires is never due to hotter and dryer weather and lightning which is the biggest cause?

Accidental human causes are also a significant source.

Arson is a way down the list of causes, except in the the mind of flat earthers and rightwing conspiracy theorists! Who ignore science and evidence and come up with boneheaded ideas.

As usual, chuck, you are just making up data now.
According to the national Park service, 85% of forest fires are human caused.
Another source, The DNR says only 16% are caused by lightning.
