    Those same businesses would have spent much more on higher energy costs because the price of oil and natural gas rose significantly in 2022. And they are getting no rebate from the oil companies even while they made record profits.

    Look at the chart on inflation. The carbon tax share of inflation is much less than 1%. Higher energy costs have a much bigger impact.

    The carbon tax is certainly affecting businesses, but the majority of carbon tax is going back to 80% of individuals and families.

      But businesses don't vote. And and those evil capitalist business owners don't vote NDP or liberal.
      And that is all that matters to Chuck. He is playing to his audience.
