Don't laugh...that is a very real possibility!
Quebec goes to an election within the year. Canada probably the same. The PQ party has promised another referendum within a year of taking power? When it comes to "buying" the Quebec loyalty...where will the money come from? Only one place has that kind of money...the same place that is powering the Canadian economy right now! Alberta.
If the Liberal party is back in power federally...do you think they will see that as a problem? Who votes Liberal in Alberta...or anywhere on the Prairies for that matter?
Will Jim Dinning think that is a problem? How about Ed Stelmach? How about Ted Morton?
Now maybe it won't come to that at all? Maybe Quebec will suddenly change its stripes and decide it loves Canada and we won't need to send more money? Maybe they will get with the program and realize they need to become fiscally responsible? Is this possible?
