Do you have salt mixed in with it right now? Could try that quicker than the molasses.

Once you get the levels back up in the herd, I wouldn't worry too much about summer mineral uptake. I was told that it is the months leading up to calving and breeding that are vital. We used to cut back the mineral after about the first breeding cycle. Do you feed silage with a mixer, or grain, or have any other way to blend mineral with the feed in the winter?

Some saline patches, the biggest one is near a spring fed dugout, I’ve tested the water and it’s good, it’s tests a little high in sulphates but it’s still considered good water and the cows in that pasture have access to better water. Put out a 10 bags of a more palatable mineral and the cows have some interest in it and the bulls are busy so that’s a good sign, two years ago I remember thinking the bulls weren’t hanging around the cows that much and I was unfortunately right.

Kochia is a complete dick at work. Almost impossible to get on top of. I’m so sick of weed whacking and spraying every week that this year I tried a new approach.
I threw barley around on any fresh black dirt Lol
Luckily it started raining after I tossed it so now it looks wonderful, hardly any Kochia in that spot.
