Calving was nasty at the start but the girls smartened up and it’s good now, averaging 7or 8 per day, I was pretty worried if the cows were getting enough mineral last summer but I’m guessing it was adequate, this winter I put out mineral free choice and mixed a bag with the grain most days, winter is definitely the time for topping up the mineral intake.Comment

No sign of leaves here. Went and found a road with trees to match your picture. Going to be awhile yet before we get down that one. I am guessing I am about 800-900 KM east of you plus I am about as far north as Edmonton.
