Tragic bus semi collision near Carberry. 15 dead others injured. Dejavue Humboldt.

It was a bad week. Relative of a friend was in a truck rollover. Not wearing seatbelt and was thrown and rolled on. 23 year old fighting for his life . If he survives he will be paralyzed waste down. One foolish mistake of not wearing a seat belt made it much worse.

The bus must have been heading south on #5 highway, must have crossed #1 in front of a semi. Just looking at a good old-fashion Rand McNalley “flat” atlas 😂 trying to figure it out. Geez

After it's all sorted out, one of the drivers may be wishing they hadn't survived. One will likely have unbearable guilt. Sad what can happen in an instant, poof. Hope the ten will recover to the point they can still enjoy their remaining years.

So truck drivers fault again. Lets be honest here, the amount of truck traffic has increased exponentially on our failing highways due to just in time globalization and nobody wanting to carry inventory anymore.

At the same time no improvements to these east west traffic trade routes across the country.

At the same time, the quality of long haul transport drivers and companies has seriously declined in the past few years.

How do you figure it’s the trucks fault? Or you’re just saying they’re going to get the blame?

Bus had a stop sign to cross the west bound lanes and a yield sign to cross the east. TransCanada has right of way.

Lots of the photos include a Super B right up beside the semi. Either the trucker was concerned and pulled up that close or he was also extremely close to hitting the bus and finally managed to stop there.

The bus driver crossing #1 Highway, got through first lane heading west but clearly needed to stop for traffic coming in east-bound lane. The responsibility that comes with driving a passenger bus demands defensive driving attention. Just speculating but have never seen this intersection.

RCMP have the trucks video and they say it shows the bus pulling out in front of the semi that was heading east.
