On Tuesday, Queensland Police Commissioner Katarina Carroll said all three Train family members were “considered offenders”.

A police source said the woman – who The Australian revealed on Tuesday had been previously married to Nathaniel before divorcing him, and marrying Gareth – was an active shooter in the incident.

The source told The Australian that all three Trains “shot the s..t out of the bearcat” police armoured vehicle that led the counter-attack on the property.

“There was a thought that Stacey may have been an unwilling participant but she was shooting at police with the best of them,’’ a source said.

“She got shot and went down and was still shooting at police as she was laying on the ground.

“She was then shot and killed.

“She was just as mad as them.”

Both Stacey Train and Nathaniel Train were decorated school teachers and principals.

Stacey Train started her teaching career at the Charters Towers State High School in February 2004, when she told a local newspaper she wanted to work in a regional area with a community feel and smaller class sizes.

Two police officers survived the attack and have been identified as Constable Keeley Brough and Constable Randall Kirk, both 28.

One of the surviving officers, Constable Brough, who had only joined the police force nine weeks ago, fled the scene and escaped into nearby bushland.

The group then set fire to the bushes to try to smoke her out.

Mr Dare then came to investigate after the incident took place and was also shot and killed at around 5pm.

It’s understood further shots were fired into his and the officers’ bodies, and the dead and injured officers’ glocks were taken.

On Tuesday, Queensland Police Commissioner Katarina Carroll said all three Train family members were “considered offenders”. In some circles known as "truthers".

Not sure if you guys have truthers over there.

but a classic example not related to above topic.

Have a good freind who is a camera man for main stream news went over to Ukraine one of the few that did from oz but got pulled once the US journalists died.

He used to give us ever so brief reports to let us know he was ok that's it.

But when he got home used example of photos off shelled destroyed buildings like he literally drove past them. The "truthers" called fake news fake news here look at these photos from 15 yrs ago.......the conspiracy dudes take the photos transpose on previous wars to further there case oldest trick in the book he said but they fall for it every time. There's a word for it and its quite common.

But ya can tell the alt left or right anything.

Landdownunder you made a strong case why restricting access to guns works in Australia and why it can work in Canada too. And reasonable access for farmers and hunters can still be allowed.

Mass shootings in the US are many many times more numerous. And the Republicans side with the gun industry and gun nuts every time in opposing restrictions to access, even after little school kids die.

In Canada the Conservatives oppose more restrictions as well. But farmers and hunters will still have access to the guns they need.

No doubt you have seen the reports of arrests at Coutts Alberta this past February of a far right separatist group that was planning to kill cops because they opposed the federal and provincial government for a variety of crazy reasons.

So its a little rich for some of the usual suspects to tell us how sad they are for Austrailans during this gun tragedy but then fail to acknowledge the growing risk that extremist individuals and groups pose in our own country and in the US with much easier access to deadly weapons and the cultural of hate and violence that go with it.

you are a cold heartless piece of work
using this to further your preaching is just sad
look at the pics of the two beautiful young people
gun control will do nothing for the determined
taking a shotgun away from a duck hunter won't either
james smith was a knife attack
          toronto was a vehicle attack
if there is a will , there is a way

I don't give a rat's toss bag what other countries have for laws, especially oceans away.
Guns don't create violence, they assist it. I want the ability to liquidate my collection to the US at an open market value.
Then I want you to secure our 8891 km land border with the US. $6000 cash gets anything I want on the street. That's just guns, Fentanyl far far cheaper.

Chuck2 did you read any articles on the incident before you made all your above assumptions?
The 2 Train brothers had a long history with Stacy. First Nathaniel married her just out of high school, they had 2 children. Then her and Nathaniel separated and her and Gareth(the other Train brother) became involved. The property where this occurred had been turned into a fortress of sorts, with fortified doors, underground tunnels. They had a large stash of guns. One article said they had become meth users. In final assault by police it was reported after Stacey was shot, she was on the ground still shooting at police and was then shot dead.

From what Landdownunder said the Australian government disarmed Australians in the mid nineties, sounds like in a similar fashion that Justin Trudeau is attempting to do today in Canada. Yet these 3 people still were able to arm themselves. I haven’t found whether the guns they had were legal or not. One difference between Australia and Canada, Australia is an island, Canada shares an almost 9000 km(according to Wikipedia) border with the United States.

As I said, a very tragic story. In typical left wing fashion Chuck2 you use a tragedy to attack the beliefs of those who disagree with you by looking at only a small part of the story. No lol.

Strange how resident conspiracy theorist's lentil's post about increase in mortality, disappeared. Those kind of posts feed the misguided minds. Those kind of conspiracy theories play into those like the truthers landownunder mentioned. Tragedies like this will become more common if no one calls out the conspiracy nonsense. Questioning public policy is fair game. Promoting fear and distrust from sites like Rumble is a dangerous game.

As usual just more f..king lame excuses of from the pro gun crowd on Agrisilly.

Landownunder told you how Australian Conservatives dealt with the gun issue and it largely worked. And you can still go hunting and shooting all you want.

The US model of gun culture and everyone has a right to a gun whether they are mentally stable or not is exactly how not to deal with gun violence.

And yet many of you can't see the problem after almost weekly mass shootings and on a tragic scale that is unbelievable and unprecedented in a modern developed country.

I've always wondered what percentage of the illegal guns coming in to Canada come through Mohawk territory that the boarder runs through.

Does evey legal gun owner suffer because they are basicly a sovereign nation an like the wild west? Untouchable?
