The stitches on this Frankenstein monster called Canada slowly unravelling. Here is what Quebec introduced today. Not a peep from cult journos.

Bang on Forage. This is the slippery slope of populism. The story needs to keep getting bigger and bigger, but the story got to the point of ridiculous that most can see through and as you say, even PM Trudeau could see right through it calling the bluff. PP is heading down the same path if you take an honest look - I'll stick up for the little guy protecting you from those money grabbing elites (populism defined).

Just wanted to mention or maybe re-mention. Back in mid 80's Quebec's policy of notwithstanding everything and added it to all legislation seriously hurt their economic viability and they never did recover. Alberta needs to be careful.

So do you think Pierre Poilievre is going to support the idea that federal laws can be ignored by a province or anyone who doesn't like them?

That sounds like a recipe for electoral success.

Laws, rules and democratic decisions are for the other guys. LOL

Danny Smith will be done after the next election and maybe not even make it through the infighting of the next few weeks.

As part of bill 96 back in May of 2021 Quebec inserted two bullet points into the 1867 constitution act—one that “Quebecers form a nation” and another that says “French shall be the only official language of Quebec. It is also the common language of the Quebec nation.” Very little objection in the government or media. On Tuesday Quebec tabled a bill that adds a section to the constitution act of 1867 exempting Quebec from the application of the section that requires the oath to the King. Also interesting to note that Quebec never ratified the Canadian constitution in 1982 so they always apply their constitutional changes to the constitution act of 1867. So Quebec basically does whatever it wants and the media and the government go after Alberta and Premier Smith!! And apparently Tweety and Forage think that is just great!?

This probably deserves a new thread upstairs.

The turd is giving the Indians $800 million to conserve 100 million square kilometres of land, 100 million square kilometres of land is almost 3 times the farmland in Canada.

You can read about these here. Basically, taking pieces of crown land and giving it to the natives as protected habitat.

Its provincial crown land that the province has to agree to give up. Most of these are up north in the middle of nowhere. But he has put a couple of them over the oil sands and near churchhill.

Another fight with the feds. And now he has weaponized the natives for the fight.

Bell: Danielle Smith and polls — more bad news and an NDP win

We know it will be an opportunity for some vein-popping Smith supporters to start screaming about fake news, media conspiracies and allegations the statistics are being massaged by the deep state agents of some new world order.

For the rest of us, remember the Leger poll last weekend? The one Smith talked about as closing the gap with the NDP.

You know, the nose-count taken before the sovereignty act gong show, with the NDP at 47% of decided voters and Smith’s UCP at 44%.

The nose-count where your scribbler’s column focused on a stat hidden in plain sight.

The column’s handle: Danielle Smith, wake up! Leger poll says you’re losing Calgary.

Well, Eric Grenier, noted nose-counting guru, says the NDP’s 10-point lead in Calgary is an election-winning one for that party.

Putting the poll results into a projection of who would win what legislature seats, the result would be the NDP with 46 seats and Smith’s UCP with 41.

The NDP would win 21 out of 26 seats in Calgary.

In the last election, the NDP won only three in Calgary.

                            Yikes!

Former premier Jason Kenney’s old seat in Calgary would still be UCP.

Ditto the seats of Mike Ellis, Rebecca Schulz, Matt Jones and Ric McIver.

Otherwise, in the Calgary area, with these numbers it would be going, going, gone for the UCP MLAs.

A fall from 23 UCP seats in Calgary in the last election to just five seats in a city seen as the battleground in this election would be a historic fall from grace.

In Edmonton, Kaycee Madu, one of two deputy premiers to Smith, would be hasta la vista, baby!

Ditto in Lethbridge for Nathan Neudorf, the other deputy premier to Smith.

Right by Edmonton, Sherwood Park would turn NDP orange.

To the west of Calgary, in Banff and Canmore, the UCP’s Miranda Rosin would be out.

Grenier actually points out, in this snapshot in time, Smith is “a drag on UCP support.”

Smith’s party is quite a bit more popular than the premier herself. Eleven points more popular.

Have you ever been in Ab chuck. I doubt it. Its holy water for Commie vampires.

62% of Albertans voted yes in the Kenny referendum. You can expect a smith win of the same order.

You think Albertans are going to vote for this again. Not on your life.

Didn't Jason Kenney warn about the "lunatics are about to take over the asylum/UCP"! He was talking about Danny Smith.

Antivaxers and Albertans are the most discriminated against group in Canada! Don't you know! LOL
