Canada will be one of the first to default and with zero gold reserves there is no backstop.

So a guy comes on to share valuable information about the reality of inflation from a foreign land. And chuck says you can’t go by that, go by the CBC. LOL.

“Create more good jobs”? What a dufus! Shut down the industry that produces endless great jobs and creates immense wealth for the entire nation - the oil industry is where it’s at, would some one yell it in her right ear then in her left to be sure she had heard you.

Our problem continues because they are still passing out borrowed money .
Saw the cabinet described as the equivalent of a high school glee club.
The only hope is Singh pulls the plug.

One guys account of inflation in one country compared to Canada isn't reliable information.

How many people wrote down last years food prices or looked at package sizes and kept a detailed account of the changes over the last year? Memory isn't reliable.

That's why looking at what the OECD says about inflation is a much better source because it looks at all member countries and makes an effort to use a standardized comparisons.

I know that the OECD charts don't reflect the Conservative view that inflation is all caused by a politician.

But inflation is affecting almost every country and many countries also spent billions protecting citizens and businesses from the covid crisis.

Canada is in the middle of the pack. Lower than the USA where Trump also spent billions propping up the economy during covid.
