    If you wonder where the intrest in hearing what PP has to say I found this Mcleans interview answers a lot of my questions about his goals and ideals;

    https://www.macleans.ca/politics/ottawa/pierre-poilievre-on-his-combative-style-of-politics-and-his-plans-for-canada/amp/

The government we currently have seems to think we have a lot to apologize for and must be willing to forgo many natural advantages and settle for a future that may be more virtuous than productive. Government directed growth in what they see as impotant.

Pierre Poilievre seems to say goverment should get out of the way and not hold growth back.
Wouldn't be the first time that theory swept weak rotten government out of power.
Checks all the boxes for me!

Of course Canada should be governed by elected Canadians. (Defination of a democracy.) There isn't a Canadian who would answer differently so your question is meaningless.

I think someone left out the honest part, probably an accident.

No accident, just don't know if any government is honest; depending on how you are defining honest. If by honest you mean based on morals and ethics, government is only as good as those elected, and there are examples in every party of elected members failing morally and ethically. If by honest you mean law abiding, again I can give you examples of elected politicians of all parties being found guilty by a court of law. If you mean scandals, the number of scandals under the Trudeau government is surprisingly similar to the scandals that plagued the Harper government terms.

Every government has a best before date and most if not all fall because they exceed that date.

And bad government will continue until people learn to elect governments for the platform and plan they have for the future instead of voting to get rid of the current government. Running on getting rid of Trudeau is not a platform. It is ignoring the best before date of all competing parties, and IMHO, the BEST BEFORE date of some parties/candidates is all expired, spoiled or lacking in "honesty"

Polly has a certain kind of charm. I guess that is why he is so popular with the angry wing of the CPC.

Did Polly show up for a selfie with the "rolling thunder" freedom fighters? Didn't look like it. Unless he was the guy with wearing the thong again LOL Or was that you CASE? I think they were Case red.

Bikers complaining about the loss of freedom and government over reach? That's a good one. Seems to me bikers have always complained about laws that that thwart their freedom to live the outlaw life.

Seemed like it was Polly's kind of crowd. Why the missed opportunity? Maybe freedom as defined by bikers and assorted freaks was best avoided?

Did he finally figure out that supporting the illegal trucker convoy blockading the border and downtown Ottawa wasn't going to look good on his resume? Took awhile.

Got all your savings in crypto currency their Case? Then you wont have to worry about inflation. LOL

The cons have had 3 leaders lose to Trudeau and are about to choose another potential loser. And this one has little appeal to moderate centrist voters.

Eventually Trudeau will lose but unless Polly ramps up the charm and stops with the stupid ideas like crypto will eliminate inflation, there is s good chance he will go down in flames like Harper, Scheer and O'Toole.

He polls well with the right wing but how does he do with the rest of the 80 % of voters?

Case its a long way till the next election so don't get too excited about Polly. Plus the Cons leadership vote can yield surprises.

An Abacus poll conducted found that his overall messaging on affordability was resonating quite strongly among both NDP & Liberal young voters.

But will they show up to vote for him?

But how will Polly the boy wonder fight inflation with crypto currencies and no Bank of Canada interest rate increases? He still hasn't explained how he will tame the record inflationary period that almost the whole world is in.

No doubt he will complain about everything with no credible solutions.
