As long as the dictators see weak leadership in America, they will continue to try their mite. Ukraine, then Taiwan, then all around Ukraine. The best defence is a strong offence and vice versa. IMHO

Never said that. But keep pedaling your lies. I did say it will be a long transition away from fossil fuels.Originally posted by caseih View PostBut, but, but .. chuck said we don’t need oil anymore ???
But high energy prices will speed up the transition.
I heard an EV owner say that "fuel" for his EV car is worth the equivalent of 30 cents per litre. 30 cents compared to $2.00! Seems like consumers would be very interested in that regardless of whether they think climate change is an issue or not.Last edited by chuckChuck; Mar 14, 2022, 08:02.

And maybe look into who was funding Chuck's activist buddies to block pipelines. All you have to do is look at who is benefiting to figure it out.Originally posted by caseih View PostShit if you said it once you said it a hundred times

Trudeau and Freeland’s trip through Europe with paid for journalism was 100% photo opp after the train wreck on the world stage of the freedom protest in Ottawa.... nothing more or less. Simply trying to cover the sh&t on their face over the failed “emergency actâ€
He did not even take his dress up suitcase this time .Last edited by furrowtickler; Mar 13, 2022, 22:13.

Biden blocked Keystone XL and Quebec said no to Trans Canada that died for several reasons.Originally posted by AlbertaFarmer5 View PostAnd maybe look into who was funding Chuck's activist buddies to block pipelines. All you have to do is look at who is benefiting to figure it out.
Trudeau purchased Trans Mountain to expand its capacity. All this before we knew Putin was going to lose his mind.
This isnt the first time geo-politics and wars caused serious disruptions and change in energy supplies. The 1970s also saw an energy crisis when the Yom Kippur War and the Iranian Revolution triggered interruptions in Middle Eastern oil exports.
The crisis drove increased energy efficiency and today's crisis will speed up the move to alternatives to imported oil in many countries along with a realignment of fossil supplies.
Nobody wants to be completely dependent on a potentially hostile or unreliable supplier.

No shit Sherlock. Look at other suppliers to fill the void Russian sanctions have left and you get more of the same. Similar amount of blood on their hands as well. Cover the whole hwy 1 corridor through Sask with solar panels and windmills in every location feasible fwiw I’m all for it. However it will not be the solution to negating the needs of our province. Elephant here is dams and nuclear is necessary to break dependency on despots. I think when we are all pushing daisies they will be back to burning coal in Saskatchewan and other places. There needs to be a balance of all energy sources. We are so lucky to be blessed with all kinds of energy in Saskatchewan but not blessed to be yoked with enviro commies running things.Originally posted by chuckChuck View Post
