    fertilizing canaryseed

    Can anyone advise me as to how much fertilizer to apply double shoot direct seeding canaryseed into wheat stubble

      What does your soil test for the field say (i.e. nutrient levels). Also, what is you soil type? and growing season rainfall levels?

          Nutrient requirements for canaryseed are similiar to spring wheat. Unlike wheat, however, only small amounts of fertilizer can safely be placed with the seed. Canaryseeds's tolerance to seed placed fertilizer is similiar to canola or flax.
