    inoculating peas

what is the best way to inoculate pea seed using a peat based product? Is there a great way to estimate how much you are putting on, as a way to get good coverage?

We use tag team peat mixed with water, the coverage is much better, no lumps or chunks to plug hoses and philom bios might actually supply you with an applicator.

We use the peat based Tag Team and other peat based products with water. Get yourself a big barrel and a submersable sump pump and your away. We have a T in the discharge line, near the pump, it has a valve that can be turned on or off for agitation. The other line is the hose that runs to the auger or hopper you are treating into. Use a large 1 1/2" or 2" hose to prevent plugging and control the application rate with a 1/4 turn ball valve. Works great, and after a couple tries you will get to know what rate and water amount you need to add.

Even better is a cone type tank (Flexahopper Lethbridge, via your UFA store) with a return line near the discharge in the bottom. Try to add a sticker (sugar?) or wallpaper clue with out fungizied!!!!! works best.
