    07 green peas....

just got an offer on my %10 bleach green peas in the 8.50 range FOB plant northcentral alberta....I know 2 or better fetching more, but any comment on what guys are getting for bids on higher bleach greens...i am thinking of pulling the trigger as it looks like it will be a while to get movement on canola and HRS and this move in the next two months....

Here in southern Alberta, Viterra is bidding $9.00/bu for #2 greens with 3.0% or better bleached. In this area, Viterra isn't even interested in buying 10% bleached.

That $8.50 for 10% bleached is pretty darn attractive. One of my farmer clients would call that his "jump-at-it-stupid" price.

I know, that was my first inclination, but have since learned that they are bidding that price net in the car loaded my area without the trucking 5 hours.....the issue is when and will we get the cars on time to meet the obligations....they are running out of high quality greens is the word and they are going to work on the bleach...this typically happens later in the selling season....

We've seen higher, but not in your area northfarmer if I'm right you're writing from the Peace. What's the feed pea bid up there these days? That's your max downside risk.

we were offered 6.11 for old crop feed peas a few weeks back.....this is old crop, quality is known, will not offer new crop greens, unless as feed, not enough predictability on quality in terms of bleach to dd the stuff
