    Yellow peas

Seems the 6 dollar peas here all over the place. Other areas likely better as the freight advantage. So is anyone cleaning the bins of yellows already. I was thinking of it because it is my only means of immediate cash flow. Yet something tells me holding on will net a premium.
Crop was better than I expected yet a lot of others look quite poor. Just wondering what others are doing.

Around here, lots of yellow contracted for $5.50 to $6.50 this spring. Elevator is only taking contracted peas for the next few months, at a rate of one train per week.

40 bushels per acre to average over the 4 quarters but not done yet. Got 5 bin fans to run now, just as the stuff hit 16.2 it rained now 1.5 inches.

Was also worried that there was going to be lots of smalls to go into the split category, but turned out less than 1% for dockage and splits.
