    Rest in Peace Keith Lewis

Am so sad to say well known foundational canola
grower, Keith lewis, of Wawota, Saskatchewan,
died from a heart attack while fishing in Mexico
yesterday afternoon. He would have been 71 in
    May.

Keith served on many farmer-boards for many
years, as well as the Winnipeg Commodity
Exchange Board. He was instrumental in building
the Mainline Grain terminal. He knew agriculture..

Keith was an ardent member of the
    Saskatchewan Archeological Society, And keenly
interested in politics. He painted with sensitivity,
and historical recall, usually local scenes, and
mainly in acrylic. We traded books often and he
craved reading, and could recall the substance of
the book nearly verbatim. He wrote well.

Keith was a delightful conversationalist, and was
knowledgeably versed in a wide array of views of
life, as well as history, and music and art and
hunting and wildlife and nature and fine wine.

A true, and a fine personal life-long friend,
Keith touched us with his laughter, and
knowledge, and human-ness, and leaves a wide
hole in the many hearts he poked with both
    humor and sincerity.

May his family find comfort in their memories of
    him. Pars
