    Hanta bus!

Mice! Have a highway tractor overrun with them. Mostly in the headliner where we can't get at them. Short of tearing it apart, does anyone have some good ideas? We're trapping half a dozen every couple of days, the cab is so full of irish spring I think I'm a leprachon. And we're still scared to use it because of the hanta virus.

Does it have a current insurance policy?

You should be able to make a claim and they will haul in away and sanitize it for you, but if there is severe mouse damage they may just write off the truck.

Are you joking? Write it off because of mouse damage?

I talked to a claims adjuster with Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) and he told me if there is severe mouse damage (chewed seats, wires, etc.) and it is old enough it probably will be written off.

If not they will take it and sanitize it, repair the damage.

          How scary socialism is, eh?

It's a '95 model in decent shape. Only noticable damage so far is a chewed air line to the passenger window so we can't let the stink out. Maybe I can go to the SPCA and find a half starved cat? 'Course I like cats equally as well as mice.

My older grain trucks was getting bad. I did not totaly eliminate the problem but i hardly see droppings in them now. When I park them I leave the windows wide open. This takes away thier warm safe enviroment plus keeps the cabs smelling fresher. I also keep my cabs clean. One truck I took out the headliner. The other one would goe instantly if I got mice up there.
