    kohler engine

    looking at buying a used red kohler engine, 22 horsepower. had a dealer tell me that they arent a good engine. needless to say they arent the ones selling the engine, just wondering what they are like by people who use them

      Got a red Kohler on its 2nd auger. Wore out the tube on the Sakundiak, and its halfway through the Farm King. lol
      Good motor.

          Had a 16 hp for over 10 years on my auger. Filled every bin and loaded every truck. Changed the oil regularly and it served me well. I have no problem recommending Kohler.

              Don't know about the red ones but we have a 16hp blue one that was bought new in 75 and is still running good. Have always used 30 oil in the summer and 0W-30 in winter. Is stored inside an unheated shed in winter and outside in summer.
