    morris 8900 seeding canola

I am looking at a morris 8900 with sweeps, next year plan on dual-shoot with packers but for this year single shoot with separate harrow/packer (black soil, excellant moisture). The soil will be worked to either band nh3 or incorporate hog manure.
Will I be able to get proper seed placement with canola with sweeps? (1" max)
Would 3" spoons or 9" sweeps be any better?
I know I need on row packing but not sure about time and money this year.
    Thanks

I have seeded canola with a 8900 with good results, if I remember right from some of your previous posts we live in the same area of Alberta and with right moisture (that we usually get) any seeding system will work. If you in the market for a smaller unit I know of 1-800 Flexi or 1-8900 for sale privately. any questions contact me at caseihman@telus.net
