    Bourgault 5000 series

I've about had it with the old 3225 tank I've been dragging and was thinking about getting rid of it.

Are the 5000 tanks a better tank in terms of accuracy and ease of use?I'm sure I could darn near make the payment on a different tank just by saving all the extra canola seed I go through in a year with the old tank.

Is there alot of difference between the 5000 and 6000 series tanks?Should I be looking at these instead?Problem is I was thinking of also getting rid of the P.O.S. Bourgault sprayer and getting something else but cash is definitely not in abundance around here right now.LOL.

    Thanks for any help.

I had the 3165 tank with all sorts of the same trouble as you. I switched to the PDM metering auger update kit and also the different augers.( kind of a plastic??) It changed my accuracy to within .1 of a lb. on Canola even after 5-600 acres. I switched to a 5250 for 3rd. tank options and more capacity. The on the go adjusting and pretty much every thing else on it is nicer on the 5250. I also went with the other augers on the new one as well. I have a question as well. After a number of acres on Canola my rate was going up by a full lb. no matter which variety I was using. At 6.00/ lb. and up that really does hurt the wallet!! By the way they have a 6000 series now with some more changes. It never stops does it!
