SK 249 Combines Set World Record Harvest.

    2012 World Record Harvest

For more info visit www.harvestforkids.com website.

It was awesome to see farmers from many different communities in Saskatchewan come together to bring in a Guinness World Record harvest. 249 combines rolled down the field in front of thousands of spectators all with the goal of bringing hope to kids around the world through Children’s Camps International.

Stay tuned for more pictures and videos to come.

Thank you to all our farmers, sponsors, volunteers and all who came to witness this amazing event. You all made this event possible.

"goal of bringing hope to kids around the world" = peddling your particular brand of religion

          A990,

And what are you telling us... by your comments?

Being thankful and sharing with others less fortunate is a high calling for humanity... or have I missed something?

          Cheers!

sharing with others less fortunate is absolutely a high calling for humanity...taking these peoples' good will and humanity and hijacking it to promote religion is what i'm pointing out

I agree, those kids don't need bibles.
English, math and science would probably
offer longer lasting hope than Jesus.

From a project I am aware of in North Korea, the
challenge is not good education - chidren are given
education (albeit with a slant). The problem is
hungery children who are suffer malnutrition to the
point they are not able to concentrate. The solution
of one organization is to provide a machine to
separate soybean protein (tofu) and soybean milk and
a container of soybeans a few times a year to provide
aid to schools directly. Organizations in North Korea
(government looks the other way) work to make it
happen in verifiable way that can be demonstrated in
Canada. Lots of things farmers do to make the world
                a better place.

Some guys obviously don't get it.
                  Too bad for them.

I was at one of their launch meetings
for this. Going into it I thought this
was a fantastic idea, by the end I was
so disgusted that it was all I could do
to keep from walking out. Don't get me
wrong, I'm not against religion in any
way but I've been to some of the poorest
countries in the world and if religion
wasn't one of the main causes of the
issues in those countries bibles sure as
hell weren't going to "bring hope". In
fact birth control would be a better
place to start. In many of the place I
visited in Africa a water pump to mount
on a windmill to pump water from the
river would double a villages food
production cut down on the number of crocodile attacks. I'm not a against
                    charity I'm against propagating
religious dogma and calling it charity.
