Ram Truck Super Bowl Commercial: God Made A Farmer.

Ram Trucks did a tribute to farmers and played this commercial during the Super Bowl. Too bad we could not see it in Canada.

    Terrific response so far.

Take the reputation of a farmer to sell a dodge
and convince everyone and farmers its a tribute.
Awesome. As a farmer can't help but feeling used.

At least FFA got a million bucks.

We complain when people dont recognize where their food comes and we complain when it is sexy. Use me all you want.

It's brilliant marketing. Fiat owns CNH, and
Dodge. Red tractors on the commercial and
        Dodge trucks.
Farmers have money right now. First thing a
farmer does when he gets a few bucks in hand is
go and buy a new truck. That has been the
        pattern for decades.
Watch those trucks fly out off the dealership. It
worked, this makes me want to buy a Dodge van
for family. They did a great job.

I thought it was gonna be a commercial for
CaseIH. Every tractor and combine was Case. No
mention of Dodge til the very end.

What's the angle with "to the farmer in all of us"?
Feel good city folks about how well they are taken care of by primary ag, perhaps?
They work so hard for an uncertain return.
Let's hope they keep working for so little cost to the 98%.

                fjlip,

In the US with Ethanol and Biodiesel... with tax
incentives to buy equip... the grain industry is truly the
golden business to be a part of. Green means
Greenbacks... for grain growers right now!

The grain industry globally is in about as good a
position as it could dream of creating!

Eat beans and pulses... Soy and Canola Oil/spread...
buns and bread... we could be healthy wealthy and
                wise;
With just the grain/veggie/fruit growers supplying
                civilization with good food!

This would solve most of the world health/food
                problems... and shortages!

I eat meat... perhaps I should stop!

Good commercial... new pickups cost too much!

                Cheers!

Great ad. Can't help but feel a sense of
                  pride.

Wd...don't feel used, the ad is about
farmers that don't complain all the
                  time.

Maybe it's a good thing if the image portrayed to the
                    urbanites is this one?
I wonder if public perception of a 'farmer' is changing
                    though?
Still ranking quite high on 'trusted profession' polls.
The ad gave me a chuckle this time however, reminding me of
non farming landowners (landlords) earnestly believing that
                    they "farm".

All framers appear to be somenew kinda f'n
cowboy too! What a sad ass/old
commercial, this has been round and round
fer a long time. Just like Fargo and walk
back dodges are old and tired. Ram tough,
what a bluff, probably report extremely
good mileage too, ha, ha, ha, stupid
                      framers'll believe anything all the
                      time.....

Buy a Ram and you truly are asleep! Perhaps that "l" should be a "h".

I would like to splint a meadowlark's leg, but there are not enough of them to find a lame one. Last tune I heard was two years ago. Change the dodge truck horn to their call, and I'd buy the horn out of one.

We are not supposed to look a gift horse in the mouth. Most responses from non farmers are positive. Good on Ram trucks and Paul Harvey's legacy.

I liked those scrubby half-starved cattle and those tractor tires with the tire treads so worn as to be almost useless.

But it would be nice to have a new Dodge truck to haul them thar square bales out to the cattle with...yew bet.
