Can anyone tell me if it is possible to self-feed a whole barley/canola meal/mineral ration to lambs safely? There would be free choice grass/alfalfa hay available all the time too. Until now we have just pail fed (limit fed)the feeder lambs, but now have access to some used 60 bushel hog feeders (these would be cleaned of Copper residues). What kind of experiences have you had?
