Here's kind of a novel idea...Post the price you paid for certain inputs on the internet. That way we would all soon get the idea if we are getting screwed by our local suppliers! It definitely might pay to travel a few miles to save a buck. If everyone participated in something like this we'd get some real price discovery and maybe some competition.
