    baling hailed peas/canola

    Got three inches of hail last night, peas, canola, and cps wheat is done. Is there any feed value if I let it regrow and bale it for greenfeed? silage? Peas are 1 inch tall now, canola is standing but all branches are broken off, wheat is 50-70% damaged. Any suggestions would be great.

    Not sure you can expect much regrowth especially if pods were well filled and wheat was well into the dough stage. I'd be tempted to take whatever I could now and if re-growth happens consider it a bonus. Keep in mind the issue of nitrates building in this feed and proper waiting periods
