    Peas on canola stubble

Has anyone tried growing peas on clearfield canola stubble. Will the volunter canola be too much of a problem?

If you have a rotary cleaner will get volunteer canola out, yes it will be their. Have you ever did Canola on pea stubble, that really works well. Especially in Northern Areas because the land is warmer and gets a quicker jump start.

we have done canola on peas, usually RR...so you can get control with your imi chem like pursuit....

tank mix glyhosate burn down products, registered for peas may work but do not know about control on cl canola as they are group 2 typically....

we also harrow the stubble to try to get some germ on the canola so we can catch it with a pre seed or post seed pre emerg burn off pass with glyphosate tank mix - MCPA amine will work ...if you get a good plant pop it will help but if you get some volunteer canola, as we have in the past, we have also cleaned the peas and got the canola out to sell as we have to clean the peas for the markets they are going to...

good luck on the peas....and hope that helps...
