straight cut oats

Can oats be straight cut or do they shell too much??

Spray with roundup and then in day 10 go nuts don't wait to long or you will lose lots.
best way to combine though.

I have straight cut lots of oats, the best 140 bushels. Some shatter, yes, also had bad shatter with the pickup on bonedry oats. Straight will often have no green seed and a better sample. Some years i have to swath to get it to turn. Morgan is supposed to shatter and lodge less.

Very little issues with shattering exept under very windy conditions. Also they hold quality significantly better than swathed during wet weather. Pre-harvest glyphos is not a requirement in an even field.
