    Nexera Canola

    Has anyone had any experiences growing nexera canola. I'm thinking of growing some but have heard both good and bad reports.

      2004-nexera 30bu, 6-8% green
      2004-RR 35bu, no green
      netted close to the same decided to grow it again

      2005-nexera 30bu, 40% green
      2005-LL 40-60bu yields 6%green
      sold my LL anywhere between 5.25 and 6.00 and due to timingof delivery on my nexera got around $7.00 luckily. Still though the LL still netted better and is all we grew this year.

              2006 results
              nexera-38bu/ac average
              invigor-43bu/ac average

              no green in either one but the green count was really high in 04 in our area too.

              I am not growing nexera again mainly because they cut the premium and I don't like how line companies play games with special basis numbers that dilute premiums and because of delivery limitations.
