    Gramaxone burn-off

I was wondering how Gamaxone would work as a pre-emerge burn-off? I have some foxtail barley that needs killin and I'm not sure Roundup is up to the challenge. Plus if I could'nt get in to spray when I should and the crop started to come up they (peas) would come back, kinda like a chemical frost!

Gramoxone (paraquat) has been used in the past for pre-seeding burnoff. It is strictly a contact non-selective, non-residual herbicide and thus will just provide annual control and top growth control of emerged perennials. I can't see any advantages of gramoxone over glyphosate for foxtail barley control. Cost is more than glyphosate.
