Duram or HRSW on irrigated Chick Pea stubble

I would like to seed AC Morse duram or Ac Barrie Hrsw on chick pea stubble on flood irrigation. Will one of these varities stand up better? Has anyone had lodging problems. I will be applying high rates of water& fertilizer.

I wouldn't bet on AC Barrie on irrigated land with intensive fertilizer. Too much straw. AC Morse durum is a better option although you are likely to give up some protein on irrigation with any cereal. Another durum possibility would be AC Avonlea which demonstrated high yield on irrigation with good standability a couple of years ago. AC Avonlea is also the highest protein durum in the market now so there may some bonus there.
